Base Items In Wowhead is a data collection project that scrapes item information from Wowhead.com and presents it in a simple, accessible format.
This is the second of my metalworking projects, following “Death From Afar”. I’m excited to share this new undertaking with you all. In this post I’ll detail what the project is about and show off what it can do. The project is divided into two pieces, ” Wowhead Scraper” and “Presentation Engine”. The first crawls item data from Wowhead’s public table of items. The second uses the JSON response to present that information in a nicely styled format.
